Youth Group (6th-12th Grade)

Our youth Group meets every Sunday evening at 6:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Center across from the barber shop. Join us for a time of entertaining games, an in-depth Bible lesson, and a time of small group discussion where we apply what we learned to our everyday lives.

At TCC our youth experience a safe and age-appropriate environment that not only invites them to take part in a relationship with Christ, but also challenges them to grow deeper in that relationship.

The first and most important rule in youth group is...NO PERFECT PEOPLE ALLOWED. Sorry, but Jesus came for the broken, flawed, messed up people. If you're perfect, this isn't the place for you.

Our current Series - How to read the bible for all its worth

Everyone likes to set goals and make New Year’s resolutions in January…’lose weight,’ ‘spend less time on social media,’ ‘exercise.’ Why not add ‘read my Bible consistently’ to that list? Well, to many, it can be pretty intimidating.

For the next several weeks, our youth group will be in the series that we are calling ‘How To Read The Bible For All Its Worth’ to help give them a practical approach to Bible study in an easy-to-understand way. We will be looking at 9 different things that I (Tanner) wish I knew about the Bible when I started reading it:

1. What the Bible is and how it was put together

2. Why we can trust the Bible

3. Why there are so many translations and which one we should use

4. How the Bible is our authority

5. The Bible was written for our time not about our time

6. Jesus is the center of the Bible

7. The Bible contains many different literary styles and we can’t read them all the same way

8. Exegesis vs. eisegesis and Hermeneutics (big words, I know)

9. How to make Bible reading a habit

The more we understand these 9 things, the better we can grasp the meaning of Scripture and its application to our lives today.

6th-12th graders, you don't want to miss this one! Join us Sunday nights at 6pm in the Multi-Purpose Center across from the barbershop!
